CPD for Lipspeakers
The ALS are committed to all of it’s members having the highest level of CPD possible. It is with this in mind, that we work hard to design a variety of workshops, that take place throughout the year, in addition to our AGM.

2019 Spring Workshop – ‘ Behind Closed Door’ Lipspeaking in Prisons – To be delivered by Dr Julia Anderson RSLI – A list of interested people is currently being compiled. Please contact the ALS if you would like to be included. All lipspeaking trainees are welcome.
7th, November , 2018 – ALS – AGM & Workshop – Lipspeaker’s & The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) – Delivered by Gail Dixon RSLI (recent/past chair of ALSI) – Once again many thanks to the 22 who booked onto this workshop. A fabulous day had by all learning how vital it was to be GDPR compliant – Special thanks to Gail for delivering a great workshop.
22nd, September, 2018 ALS – Mid Year Workshop – Thank you to all who attended this workshop – ‘Up close and Personal’ – The rewards and challenges of supporting deaf people in work delivered by Dr Jules Dickinson RSLI/FASLI- It was an incredible success with unsurprising requests for a part 2. Recording your CPD
We encourage all professionals to keep a comprehensive record of structured and unstructured points gained in order to complete their revalidation. The NRCPD have designed a handbook to help make clear how this process works. They have also designed a handy table that you as a professional can use to record what you have attended.
